HCP Consultancy’s Strategic Asset Management team (SAM Team) are involved on the Barnsley primary schools PFI project, providing enhanced lifecycle management services for the project. The SAM team create value for clients by proactively delivering knowledge led and innovative asset management solutions to their built asset portfolios. Intelligent management of assets is achieved by utilising lifecycle asset data and technical knowledge to match both investor and end-user requirements.
Issues with the current phone system...
The HCP team were made aware of intermittent issues with the phone system at Kings Oak Primary School, meaning that they were unable to operate effectively and given the current Covid-19 situation, it was imperative they acted quickly to remediate problems on the system. they were aware of upcoming changes to use of standard phone lines and the innovative technological advancements which are currently available on the market.
The Dynamic Solution
Following discussions with the school, Barnsley Council and FM contractor Engie, HCP agreed an upgrade to a VoIP system would be the right solution and partnered with Dynamic for the installation.
Using a collaborative working approach we were able to install a fully working VoIP system, whilst providing a temporary solution to allow the end user to operate throughout installation. The VoIP solution is based on industry leading technology 3CX and has all the features required for a modern-day education establishment to communicate effectively both internally and externally.
